Boat Rental

Drop anchor into adventure

The allure of Georgian Bay is deep and mysterious with fishing, hiking, and island hopping inviting you out. The 10-people pontoon boat (available for rent) is easy for beginners to drive. The family boat is easy to navigate, but everybody is welcome to help onboard or when it’s time to dock. The vessel goes slowly so it’s safe for kids and the elderly.

What it comes with

The family friendly boat levels with the dock and a safety rail goes all around. More safety equipment includes life jackets, dock lines, anchor, and bumpers. A bimini top provides shade, and there’s a marine toilet you can take off the boat for picnicking. We’ve also included floaties and pool noodles if you want to take a dip in the water at one of the nearby beaches.

Navigate Georgian Bay

The pontoon boat is equipped with Navionics, a must-have water GPS app. We’ve saved all our favourite Georgian Bay recommendations in it, making it easy for you to boat around the area. Aside from Navionics, the hosts are also well-versed with the area and would be happy to help you plan day trips.

Recommended boating adventures

Beausoleil Bay Loop

The Beausoleil Island and Georgian Bay Islands National Park boast some amazing, natural sand beaches. You can spend the day there hiking, picnicking, swimming, bird watching, relaxing on the soft sand, and biking (you can rent some wheels or bring your own but check with water taxi company about their luggage policies).

Plan for 2 to 4 hours on this loop to allow for time to stop at beaches along the way.

McCrae Lake Rapids

The rapids are part of the McCrae Lake Conservation Reserve are guaranteed to be a family favourite, with a lazy river watercourse, which is fun for kids and adults alike. Pack those floaties, boogie boards, tubes, and watershoes. Bring a blanket and some chairs and pack a picnic for lunch by the rocks overlooking the rapids.

Plan for a 2 to 4 hours trip to fully enjoy the ride and for time at the rapids.

Frying Pan Bay

Frying Pan Bay is the perfect bay to anchor and swim or take advantage of the public docks and go for a long 2.5-km hike around the enchanting Fairy Lake that showcases a variety of habitats and small wetlands, so pack a hearty picnic to energize once you’re done enjoying nature.

Plan for a 2 to 3 hours-long adventure.

Giant’s Tomb Island

This is a longer trip, but it leads to one of the best beaches on Georgian Bay. Calm days are great for taking this on, but watch the weather apps because you want to cross the open water with winds of 8 naughts or less. Drive the boat right to the beach and moor it on the sand, because you’ll be hanging out on this beach for the day.

Plan for a 3 to 4 hour trip.
